Late August Fun

It was Corn Palace Festival Week in Mitchell. We braved the 90 degree temps and 30 mile per hour winds today and hit the Mideway. The girls had fun, but did not protest much when it was time to leave. Then we had an ideal Sunday afternoon at home, all four of us took naps.

Lauren's treat from the Corn Palace.

Lauren and her friend Olivia riding rides on the midway.

Lauren on the inflatables.

Emma in the bouncey house.

"Bouncing"

That is about as far as Emma made it up the steps to the slide.

Lauren got curls for church, but she is destined to have straight hair, I don't think there was any curl left by the time we got to church.

Emma's Tree!. About the time Lauren was born, we planted a tree for her and had the same intention for Emma, but...we are going to say this tree is to commemerate her 2nd birthday.

We forgot to do the cliche first day of school picture for Stacey, so we took some on the 2nd morning.

  1. Looks like Corn Palace Days were lots of fun! We are still trying to get Josiah to take a Sunday afternoon nap when we want to. Loved Lauren's curls! Miss you all!

  2. Mom pointed out that Emma had pigtails in her hair. I didn't realize her hair was that long already. The pigtails are cute!
