A Snowy Problem

What would a snow day be without cartoons? When the snow began to collect on the satellite dish, it prevented us from receiving a satellite signal. Jared had a clever way to clear the snow off the dish. Rather than going out into the raging blizzard, he used a telescoping duster and reached through Emma's bedroom window to brush off the snow. Lauren was glad to offer the use of her handy stool to help Daddy reach.

Snow Day!

The phone started ringing at 6:00 am today, Stacey got a call that there was no school. After this I was not too motivated, but luckily I got a call at 7:30 that the bank was not going to open until 10:00 am. This was good as it would have afforded me time to scoop my way out of the 4 foot drift in front of the garage door. I did luckily get a call around 10:00 that the bank would be closed today. So we got to spend a nice "snow" day at home together. Lauren proudly stayed in her ducky jammas all day!

The neighbor was nice enough to share his skid loader with me to help move the snow out of the driveway. It was very wet, heavy snow. I did actually shovel some too, but unfortunately there is no photographic evidence of that.

Lauren took advantage of being home and caught up on some house work.

Last weekend of March.

Good news, anyone can feel free to leave a comment below the pictures, I figured out how to change it so you do not have to have your own blog to leave a comment.
Emma has begun to be happy on her own playing with one of her many baskets of toys. As you can see in the video, she is getting good at reaching for what she wants.
Lauren was sporting her new pink Dora Sunglasses as we were ready to head to church on Sunday Morning. We can tell that we need to diversify where we shop a little bit - last night I asked Lauren before she went to bed where we were going on Sunday morning, she thought and said..."um Walmart". Despite her comment, she gets very excited to go to "God's House" to hear about God and Jesus.

Despite baskets and baskets of toys, the girls entertained themselves for quite a while playing with fresh fruit on the dining room floor.

Lauren had a big moment on Sunday when we got home from church. As we were walking in the door she grabbed a crayon and was pretending to write on the wall, she spelled out loud what she was writing...L - A - U - R - E - N...LAUREN! Stacey and I stood in awe. Naturally she would not do again once we got the video camera out. Later on in the day, she walked into the room and said: "what's up mommy".
