Winter is coming...So is Christmas!

Tonight we got to go to the Holiday Light Parade in Mitchell. Emma and Lauren had lots of fun. Lauren was good help after the parade going back to the bank and helping us to take down the float. We had them dressed for sub-arctic weather, but it was actually a great night.

Lauren's 3rd Birthday!

We had Lauren's big 3rd birthday party this weekend, actually two of them. On Friday night we had the Hofer side over and celebrated with pizza, presents, and Dora birthday cake. On Saturday we went to Stacey's cousin Jenny's wedding in Iowa and then partied again with pizza, presents, and Dora birthday cake in Sioux Falls at Uncle Tim's house.

Almost Halloween...

Tonight we got to go to a Halloween Festival at Stacey's School. The girls loved it because they got to break out their costumes a night early. Lauren had lots of fun because she got to hang out with her friend Abbi who was also dressed up as a fairy princess.

Only 35 degrees and she never complained once. I think she is a real fan. At one point she decided that she wanted to play the trumpet in the band and at a later point was listening to the cheerleaders and saying "let's go Kernels, Let's Go!"Emma being Emma!

Potty training brings rewards...

We have had a big weekend at our house. The girls got both their seasonal flu shot and H1N1 flu shot on Friday. Lauren was sad after the shots and Stacey asked her what would make her feel better and she said getting her hair cut, so she got a hair cut, and looks good. We went to Huron on Friday night and Grandma Peggy got the girls sparkly new pink shoes. But most importantly Lauren earned her new "purple" bike. She had a jar of M & M's that she got one each time she went potty and when they were all gone, she got a bike. She loves her new bike and was kind enough to say that Emma could have her old purple trike.
