Snow Days!!

The girls have gotten to spend the last 2 days at home from school and Shelly's house because school was called off for a blizzard. We got 4-6 inches of snow, have had wind gusts up to 40 mph, and wind chills near -40 Degrees. The girls have stayed warm inside and have especially enjoyed passing the time by wearing fun outfits and changing them often. Daddy was sad, because he had to work the whole time :(

Happy Birthday Stacey!!!

Today is Stacey's 31st Birthday!

We celebrated by waking up to warm cinnamon rolls. For supper we went to Pizza Hut and then picked up a Culver's Frozen Custard Cake.

The Barbie House!

Jared built a beautiful Barbie house for Lauren and Emma for Christmas. This is a picture of the final product just before the girls saw it for the first time.

Just after seeing the house, the girls were excited, but needed some prodding to

really check it out.

After opening the rest of their presents, the girls had a chance to settle in to the house. Thanks to Grandpas and Grandmas, their house is well-furnished.

Emma had fun watching her big cousin Joey using his Wii Fit, so she decided to create her own wii balance board with a white dvd case.

Lauren's Surgery Update

Today, we had to take Lauren to have a surgical procedure done at the Sioux Falls Surgical Hospital. Everything went well with the procedure and aside from a little pain and some groggyness she is doing well. Thank you to everyone who was thinking about and praying for her. Her favorite part was that she got a sparklee band-aid when they took her IV out. And I think Emma enjoyed a day at home with Grandma without her sister around, it sounds like she took at advantage and played with all of her big sister'st stuff.

Luckily she said she wants to marry her daddy!
